Pick-up and welcome is a dedicated service designed to greet students upon arrival and assist them in safely reaching their accommodation or campus. This includes airport or station pick-up, assistance with luggage, and initial orientation to help you settle in quickly.
Arriving in a new country can be overwhelming, especially after a long journey. A friendly welcome and reliable pick-up reduce stress, prevent logistical issues, and help you feel secure and supported from the moment you land.
This service is provided by SIMI Swiss’s support team and authorized StudyAbroader local partners. All team members are experienced in working with international students and trained to provide warm, professional assistance upon arrival.
You should arrange this service as soon as your flight booking is confirmed and arrival details are finalized. Early coordination ensures a smooth meet-and-greet and avoids last-minute uncertainties.
Pick-up and welcome services are offered at major airports, train stations, or bus terminals in Switzerland (and other available destinations). The service concludes when you are safely settled at your accommodation or campus.
Students provide their arrival information, including flight or train details, expected arrival time, and contact information. A designated team member meets you at the arrival point holding a personalized sign, assists with luggage, and escorts you to your accommodation or campus. During the journey, you also receive basic local orientation and important first-day tips.
Pick-up and welcome support is designed to help SIMI Swiss students arrive safely and confidently, ensuring a smooth transition from travel to campus or accommodation.
The service includes arrival greeting, luggage assistance, and transport to the final destination. However, students are responsible for providing accurate arrival information and coordinating any last-minute changes.
Pick-up and welcome services do not guarantee assistance beyond the initial arrival and transport period.
